I really hate it when i'm actually liking a movie an then it just turns out to be a big joke. About The Gravedancers there isn't much to say. It all starts with a curse, that a group of friends accidentally read on the graveyard. Mostly, the whole movie is a cliché, people being chased and haunted by spirits. It is quite scary, as the matter of fact, i kept jumping out of the sofa in some scenes. Others, however, left a bitter taste in my mouth and a hole in my brain that was asking for more (and better). About the acting, there isn't much to say, it was quite good, and i particularly liked the role of the parapsychology assistant. Although the set-up was quite promising, the ending of the film was a huge disappointment.
Overall, i think that The Gravedancers would be a highly sucessful movie in The Exorcist era.
